The Associated General Contractors of America Annual Awards - Buda Woodworks

Buda Recognized by The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC)

March 22, 2023 // Buda, Texas

Buda Woodworks was recognized at the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) annual awards banquet for supplying millwork on two 2022 Outstanding Construction Projects.

In the category “Building 6 ($75 Million – $150 Million)”, Waterloo Tower, a 30-story, 373,300 SF high-rise apartment tower community in Austin’s UT West Campus district was the winner. It was completed 28 days ahead of the contractual obligation, which allowed students to move in a month early. The millwork on this project was extremely complex and involved bars, arched doors, beautiful stairs and railings, wall paneling, booths, intricate fabrics and elegant counter tops.

In the category “Education 4 (Over $75 Million)”, The Austin Media Center, a transformation of the former Dillard’s department store building into a creative hub for Central Texans, was the winner.  What once was the former Dillard’s department store, now accommodates the growth plans of ACC, provides a new broadcasting facility, and a long-term partnership with Austin PBS.  Buda Woodworks’ millwork fills this 200,000+ SF building and includes wall paneling, stairs, reception desk, decorative metals, counter tops, display cases, executive meeting rooms and much more.

Buda Woodworks is proud to receive these 2022 Outstanding Construction Projects awards for supplying the millwork on buildings that will support Austin Community College, the University of Texas, and the Austin Public Broadcasting System.,
